Enhancing the performance of my 2012 Lancer ES (manual

Postby lach » Mon Feb 25, 2019 9:40 am

Hello,

I have recently purchased a stock lancer and I have enjoyed driving as it is for a few months and now I am ready to have some fun with it! I am looking to increase the performance of my lancer while hopefully maintaining the reliability. I am looking to increase the performance of the car for the joy or driving rather than hitting the track or for featuring in the next fast and furious film. I am interested in maybe doing some aesthetic modifications as well but due to having a smallish budget I am focusing on how the car drives as my priority. I would be very interested giving my lancer some forced induction but I am not sure how I would go about it or what peoples experiences have been.

How would you all recommend I go about increasing the performance of my Lancer?

Many Thanks :)

Start with maintaining your car, check on your car oil, coolant, and all the good stuff. Next, bolt-ons, RA snorkel, SRI/CAI, Exhaust, header, suspension mods, throttle, I can't remember everything but this is a good list to start with!

There is a truck load you can do to a NA to get some decent performance out of it and there's tons of it in this forum already.
If you want forced induction sell your NA and get a RA or X the sooner the better.
You will also enjoy the benefits of 4WD from those vehicles.
Or you can stick to NA and shove a Quaife ATB LSD in it and go from there
It all comes down to how much $ you want to spend and what you would rather have
A decent tuned NA 4B12 is very respectable and the same with a 4B11 as well
