Boot interior light stopped working

My boot light seems to have stopped working for some strange reason. Cables seems to be firmly connected, I also checked the bulb (12V 5W 28mm festoon) and it seems OK, doesn't look blown but its hard to tell.

It lit up the whole boot which was nice but if it's a bulb issue then maybe I should avoid this certain type of LED in the future

Anyone experienced this problem before? Bulb has lasted around 5-6 months till now.

Hey is the bulb the same as the inside dome light? Maybe swap them over to test it.

Yes except dome bulb is 31mm and trunk 28mm, may have to buy a new bulb :p

that's only 3mm difference, as long as the tabs are touching the bulb it will be ok for testing even if it is a bit loose.

but it's most likely the bulb has gone bad. the ebay leds don't last as long as they claim unfortunately.

True bro, thinking of buying a 1M led strip for $10 and just wiring it up. Will last longer surely haha

Yep, put a LED strip in my boot, much more light and I did the smart thing, got some joiners so if I want to I can put it back to stock easily.

LED strip light in the boot is a brilliant idea. I did mine a few years ago. I ran dual led string that is about one meter long. The amount of light it shoves out at night time is pretty incredible. Oh so worth doing
