Hi All!

Postby cardevil » Sat Apr 22, 2017 11:10 am

Hi All!

How are you all! I am really excited about joining this club and being part of a community that is all about Lancer CJs.

I am a proud owner of a while Lancer CJ 2009 which I bought last year. I is an used car and has already done 157K(phew) of which I have only driven 5K. Its a lot of K's but I knew only car I could trust was a lancer and I am not at all disappointed.

A little bit about me.... I have a long running suspicion that my brain in all mechanical with pistons and everything as I am mostly thinking of cars. To be honest a Lancer is not my favourite car. Its Ferrari, a childhood dream. but as the story goes, My friend once joking asked me what car will you ride before you get a Ferrari(dream is still alive) ... I was very sure about my answer, because it was the only answer. "Lancer" , I said then and lancer it was when It got off the long trailer one lovely evening....

For most of my time now, I am experimenting with the perfect ICE solution for my car.. Few project I have under works are:

ICE
    Installing Carputer (Tablet /RPi/ Arduino)
    Installing HUDs
    Bluetooth FM Transmitter.
    Natural user Interface.
External
Plastic painting my wheels and front bumper to black.
Side decals for a racing stripe.
A shine finish paint coating. (suggestions requested)

Thanks for the time you took out to read this.

Regards !!!
cardevil

Welcome cardevil. Cheers, looks like another active member. As suggested above there's heaps of info: here.
Just one for starters. If it hasn't already been done, stick in a RA inlet snorkel, $175 new, straight swap and well worthwhile.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/MITSUBISHI-D ... 2509902745

Bought this exact one. Perfect fitment. You will need new fasteners because the ones connected to your current snorkel wont lock in properly. One will work (and will hold it fine) but it's always better have them both. Unless you're after that sick 3 gram weight reduction... :P

EDIT: Took about seven working days to get to me!

I got mine 2nd hand on eBay from a local wrecker for less, but they don't come up that often.

A1 auto, super cheap all those joints will have a fasteners that will fit. Can't remember the size I went with. Won't hurt to run with one for now. One of the originals will work fine.
