GoVia Screw Up! - Fixed Finally
Okay for about the last week GoVia has been transferring money to and from my GoVia account and right now my balance is ZERO so I've I need to use the tag I could be stung with charges.
WTF is going on and is it happening to anyone else.
Background – In May we took a road trip south so I set up my GoVia account with the auto top up so if it gets down to $10 it automatically get $25 added from my saving bank account. Now since we got back in late May I haven't been down to Brisbane so not used it.
Also I returned a previously lost tag and got a credit back for that, I had been changed $46.13 for not returning a tag after selling my old car.
Here is a rundown of what has happened.
8/07/16 Refund $25.00
7/07/16 Refund $25.00
7/07/16 Payment Received Thank-you $25.00
6/07/16 Payment Received Thank-you $25.00
6/07/16 Refund $25.00
5/07/16 Refund $25.00
5/07/16 Payment Received Thank-you $25.00
4/07/16 Refund $25.00
4/07/16 Payment Received Thank-you $25.00
1/07/16 Payment Received Thank-you $25.00
1/07/16 Refund $119.66
1/07/16 Reversal $46.13
27/06/16 Adjustment $92.26
22/06/16 Credit $46.13
I've posted this over on whirlpool.net.au also, WTF is going on?

Call them and ask.
Usually that's what most people do. Question it. If you get no response take it further

Re: GoVia Screw Up!
I did earlier this week and then again today when I found the $25 charges then credits in my bank account. But no one was there who could help which is lame, I'm on a call back list sometime in the next 3-5 business days.
By my calculations there should be at least $70 in credit on the GoVia account.
Where can I take it further?

Jesus, somethings definitely gone awry there!
If they try to brush you off or say there's nothing they can do, you've always got the tolling ombudsman to fall back on..just the mention of it will generally get you somewhere..

Re: GoVia Screw Up!
Thanks, I'll see how the call goes.
I know there have been complaints with GoVia not charging drivers correctly and other stuff ups and mine was fine until I changed to the auto top up feature so you're not slugged for manual top ups.
Right now this all doesn't matter as much as some family stuff which has been distracting me this week, doing stuff like this to keep my mind off it.

Good luck, hopefully it gets sorted for you asap.
On the other subject, has anything come of it yet? Fingers crossed it all turns out okay, best wishes to you & yours.

Re: GoVia Screw Up!
UPDATE - so GoVia is still stuffing up, each day money is going into the GoVia account and the same amount it coming out, every week day since the 1st of July. Over the weekend I turned off the auto top up thing and got and automated warning my balance was ZERO. Turned it back on with the amount now set at $30 and no change, it's happening again.
Still waiting on a call from them, if I hear nothing by the weekend I'll call the tolling ombudsman. Tempted to go to Brisbane just to see what affect using the pass will have on the account. But it's a busy and sad week ahead...
BTW - some may know he was found but it was too late, the funeral is this Thursday. RIP Jay.

Re: GoVia Screw Up!
No, got the tag back and posted it back to GoVi, but I think that's where it all started when they refunded me the cost of the tag I had reported missing. Which I only did just in case they tried using it.
See the thing is it's not costing me money but every day with their auto top-up system money is being transferred from my bank account into the GoVia account, then the same amount is being transferred back from GoVia to my bank. Called them twice and they don't know why it's happening. Only did it so I wouldn't have to pay extra to do the manual top-up.
Still waiting on that call back but seriously considering just stopping the auto top-up and putting $50 on the GoVia account which will last me a while since I don't go to Brisbane that often.

Re: GoVia Screw Up!
UPDATE - Okay so I got sick of the $30 in then out on the auto top up every day, changed it to manual, put in $40 to the GoVia account, then today find it's been refunded leaving ZERO in my GoVia account once again. I can't even manually top it up WTF do I do?
Yes I'm about to make another fruitless call, still waiting on a call back from a week ago.

Re: GoVia Screw Up!
I had a thread on whirlpool but they closed it.

Yeah I know they refund should be back in a few days but right now it's not helping me if I need to use the toll ways in Brisbane.
I'll try the site and make some calls tomorrow.

Re: GoVia Screw Up!
Do you have more than 1 tag associated with the account? ie. are you topping up an active account.
As a guess since you returned the tag the system may think the account is now closed hence why when ever you put money in it just refunds it. Try associating your tag serial in your car to account and see if that helps.
