Depends how handy you are and the mods you've done, might be worth trading up to a manual VRX?

I'm an apprentice mechanic so i have all the tools i need cos my boss lets me use the workshop freely if there's no jobs left. I've gotten really attached to my car and all the little things it has like the headlights, reverse camera and touch screen and its under finance so even if i did want to trade it i dont think its possible

That makes a difference.

So as you'll know things to consider is the peddles and electronics, the brakes share the same fluid reservoir as the clutch so that might need changing or modifying. And of course the gear change it's self.

I say if you can find the parts its a good project for an apprentice mechanic.

It is possible to do a conversion but you will need a huge amount of parts.Pedal box, gearshift linkages, maybe CV joints, probably a wiring loom from a manual.Brake master cyl too as I think they use the reservoir from the brake master cyl to feed the clutch master cyl.Best option would be to buy a manual donor car so you will have access to all the parts you need. It's not a job you could knock over in a weekend.

Has anyone on the forum actually done an auto to manual conversion? (not sure why most would though given the cost/effort involved)

I know a person who has done that, but he also have MUT III tool. The mechanical parts are not a problem, however there are changes in the electronics and here is where MUT III comes in.

Yeah even in older EFI cars you need to change the computer when doing this kind of conversion.
