Possibly bizzare headlight question

I just went outside to see if the car was locked so went to open the passenger door (was locked) but the headlights turned on.

Has this happened to anyone else before? Is this a feature or a bug?

my headlights stay on for a little time after the car is locked about 5mins and then they switch off , enough time to get into the house lol

We have ours on permanently and they switch off after we turn the car off and open the door. This was strange cause the car had been locked and the key was nowhere near it :s

Had to press the lock button before they would turn off again

maybe a little electrical glitch , take it to mitsubishi if i does it again

Might be the walk me home feature? I didn't think my 09 VR had it but he does, lights stay on for 3mins or something.

Yeah the "see me home" feature is activated when pulling the high beams on when parked then goes off after a short time at least on my 2011 VRX
