[VIC] Start Weekly or Fortnightly Meets?

Thanks to DTGriff, we had a nice successful meet last night! It was great getting together and just catching up.

Since we are a Club, we should do this on weekly basis or even fortnightly. There hasn't been much activity with this club!

So if you guys are down for a meet or perhaps a cruise/dinner at least once a month. Put your names down, and we will see how many numbers we have to organise something.

Give me your thoughts guys? Yes? No?

Me and DTGriff are more then happy to organise this. Anyone can join in for ideas and so on!

Hey Denis - would be keen to catch up here n there dependant on location - skydiver21 (Mark) did text me about the meet but I was knee deep in my failed septic system and having my entire landscaped front yard dug up to replace it

Just to further the point as well, this is in no way taking away from what Irving (Ofey) does for the VIC scene.

Don't want anybody to think we're trying to take over, Just hope we can get a more regular meet frequency.

Would be awesome if we could get a monthly meet as a minimum and encourage more new members to come along and increase the VIC profile

I'm going to say it's good to see some people trying to do something for VIC too.

TBH, I'm too old and my life is quite packed to run weekly or fortnightly meets.

I can do most things around the Doncaster and city area and I'm not prepared to risk the car on long drives in the bush as:

1. We've just bought a new car. So funds are quite tight
2. I'm reliant on my car as a daily driver to get me to and from work.

I also can't really keep up energy with the younger crowd and look for a more laid back surroundings and coffee/tea or dessert type meets to kick back and relax. Too bad drinking isn't possible when driving.

Whatever is done, I will support it but I would like to urge all of you to please behave at meets especially when there are a number of CJs gathering. Whether or not you carry the club badge on your car, the car's image will be associated with that which you do so please behave.

Appreciate the support on this Irving! and hopefully the more meets/members we can get means the more variance of meets we can get organised.

As of last night I and I think everybody who attended acted well above board and I'm certain we can keep that as a regular for every meet we have.... After all... we have a policeman in our midst (no names mentioned)

I'm sure Irving will agree with me that organising this stuff isn't taking over. For a long time it's just been pretty ad hoc when one of us gets bored and quickly tries to organise a meet. Usually at very short notice.

Good on you for organising i'm up for it. Late friday nights and weekends are best time for me usually though

For me it's Fridays and Saturdays.

If Mondays are not heavily packed with meetings and commissioning work, I'm up for Sunday before 1800hrs.

I'm looking to a CJ myself so I might be interested in joining y'all, maybe eventually in a CJ.

Usually we have a chat, laugh maybe get some food, check out other peoples cars and take photos.

Depending on which meet it is, depends on what happens!
