USB port or AUX in rear of OEM Rockford Fosgate unit

Postby damocr » Thu Jul 05, 2012 5:16 pm

I have an 09 VRX with the R/F upgrade and i havent been able to pull the unit out yet to have a look but does anyone have any photos of the rear of the unit.

Im looking for a USB port and an AUX port too, just to see what my options are.

im trying to figure out if i can mount an iphone dock in my console between the handbreak and gear stick that will both play music and recharge my phone. So in order to do this id run a split cable from the bottom of the plastic pocket that is already there which would run to the RCA in the front and also around the back of the unit hopefully to a USB port. it would be ideal if there was an AUX input at the back also, so instead of running the cable to the RCA input where its visible id keep it out of sight entirely

Any info regarding the R/F unit would be appreciated

The 09 lancers only have the aux in at the front and don't have usb at all.

the stock system has the aux function. You can splice in 2 wires at the back of the stock unit wire harness and then you're good to go.

ya, i wired a spare rca cord right to it. At the time i had the ipod all in one cable thing with the 3 rca cords and the usb charger built in.

I cant recall the wire colours etc but there was a thread on here about it with pics
