The Group Buy for Feb'10 is now closed.

The twin tip exhausts are now available through our sponsor RPW whilst the BC Coil overs are available through Concord Customs. Those who wish to purchase these parts should direct their sales to them.

I am sorry that this months group buy service has been compromised in a way that I have failed to deliver an item this month.

Going forward, we may need to alter the items offered and a poll may NO longer be run. The poll was introduced as you might know to ensure that I didn't choose the items. For everyone's information, I chose NONE of the items on this months list. These were PM-ed to me and put on. The members too voted on this list to decide what would be bought.

At this point, it is unclear if any further group buys will be run. We may offer some other parts but this will no longer be on items which our sponsors may get hold of. This indeed does restrict alot of items we can offer since any company with an ABN can bring in any item so long as there are NO sole distributors and the manufacturer is willing to retail to them.

No the 2011 RA Group Buy is not off. That is fully endorsed by our club sponsor PMR. They are the ones pushing for that to go through.

what about one of the other things on the Poll cant they be run in a GB.

none of our sponsors sell any of those things, commercially

You'll be surprised what anyone with an ABN can source. IT's a question if they want to do the business or not.

I hope you see what has led to this. If you look at the array of sponsors we have, EVERYTHING for car modding is covered.

Just a thought and not sure if this is possible but could we try and include the sponsors in the group buys. Maybe ask them to once a month or once every three months offer an item to the club at a special price? You could still use the poll system with the various sponsors offered items being voted on as well as anything you can find that is not offered by them. Can't see why they would obiect is all advertsising and if there item gets up they have just won 15+ sales.

Just an idea, like I said don't know if this is possible just something to consider. This may also serve to take some of the pressure off you to find nemerous items every month that aren't available from a sponsor if your only looking for one or two to contribute.

And as I mentioned, there is NO product that a business with an ABN can't get. It's simply a question of whether they want to.

Just to clarify. I assume that mean BEST price for a single purchase transaction, how about a BETTER price for a multiple (bulk), like 5+ units transaction, when you get a group buy.
I'm probably making assumptions here, i would assume there would be some margin to move a bit more on price (or sometimes the manufacturer offers a rebate/discount for placing a multi unit order) which may be passed onto us or in a form of a rebate to the club kitty.
