timing chain stretched - 45,000km
replaced SST Box - 50,000km
Ildler Pulleys/ Tensioner Pulley (plastic pulleys getting to much heat causing belt to jump off or snap) - 80,000km

09 model timing chain and sst were both done under warranty..

car is getting towed to mistubishi tomorrow for the tensioner issue and hopefully warranty will cover it, since it's just under the 5 year warranty.. we'll see what happens

Were mods an issue (not sure what engine mods your running) and did they put up a fight?

I was actually surprised myself that they didn't even mention a word about my mods at the time (full exhaust, intake, boost controller). They knew the issues were a common thing with the 09 model so they just took it in, no questions asked..

Thats also a worry, I'm coming up for my 45000 service, and will be taking it in, i might get them to look at the timing chain while they're at it.

What are the sympotoms of the timing chain need replacing? CEL?

took it to nepean mitsu..

i believe the sign for a stretched timing chain is a triangle with an exclamation mark i think it is..

I have a 09 Ralliart, @70.000 km turbo let go, but other than that she goes well (touch wood) i have now 93.000km on it
