I'm still going for the test drive this week. If anything it will at
least reassure that the lancer is for me.

Just make sure you dont sign up for it there and then no matter how hard it is not to lol. They will move on price if you wait it out and if you can get it for less, guess what...more coin for mods! Dont seem to eager but just let them know you are ready to buy.
Worst part is...you will get a better price at the end of the month...going in at the beginning is the worst time for getting the price down and its now the beginning.

It could depend on where you live, but you should also be aware that you can buy a brand new ES for <15k now (mine was 16k with reversing sensors+camera 2 weeks ago), http://www.carsales.com.au/car/bncis/de ... 0.5&page=1
If those aren't viable for you, you should at least use it for ammo when haggling.
