i think the DIY section needs to re organised and maybe even rewrite some of the more popular threads so they're all a little more streamlined. theres a guide to follow in the for sale section maybe something similar could be introduced for submitting DIY's
something like
mod:
aim of mod:
dificulty level / expected time to complete mod
tools needed
parts required
how to guide
any comments or tips for others
problem with a lot of the DIY's is that they dont really explain specficly whats required to perform the mod and a lot of users get sidetracked writting in ideas or comments half way through the how to rather than at the end where imo they should be so as not to confuse other people.
my 2 cents

I like Adrian and Nic's ideas.
I would also suggest not stickying most of the DIYs, or only having the new ones stickied for say a month and then remove the sticky, or the uber popular ones which a great number of members have could stay as a sticky

Perhaps make an announcement in each new DIY board with a link to a DIY with a brief description. for example:
HOW TO: Remove Tail lights (Click here to go to guide)
HOW TO: Install Vortex Generator (Click here to go to guide)
HOW TO: Black out your front bumper (Click here to go to guide)
That way instead of a new user who may not be familiar navigating between pages and pages, they could go to one post, find what they want, click it and it will open in the same or a new window for them.
The post will need to be updated fairly regularly though.

what about having say the 10 most popular DIY's from each section stickied at the top of their respective forums. ie
DIY Exterior
HOW to Remove Tail Lights
How to Black out front Lip
DIY Interior
How to carbon fibre wrap your trim
that way there would only be 10 stickies per forum and the rest would be normal threads. as a thread reaches more views than a sticky it replaces that sticky. it would mean someone would have to unsticky the DIY threads once a month but it would keep the most viewed/relevent DIY's at the top
i think the Admin team will probably be kept pretty busy if they want to keep the DIY section nice and tidy. there are a number of threads that are doubles on the same idea. you almost need an index to keep track on all the great help that can be found in that section. this is where a wiki could be usefull

I remember talking about a optimized ClubCJ for mobile devices etc...
Just logged into 'EvolutionM.net' Forums using my iPhone.
It seems they have done exactly that. A car forum, optimized for mobiles. Maybe something we can observe and take notes at how it works to maybe eventually implement something similar to ClubCJ!
