Things to do while waiting for your CJ

im an impatient guy. got 2weeks till my cj is ready. i dont even have the car and i think of it too much.

its even getting hard to concentrate at work or get good sleep. keep thinking about what mods to do to it.

anyone got n e ideas what to do on how to kill off this impatientness/anxiety?

DONT look at car mods
DONT loose your job coz your not working hard

And the time will pass faster

I actually spent a lot of time making a proper list of car mods to do to my car. I had to wait 3 weeks. By that time I had a very detailed list including prices, manufacturers, suppliers, quotes, drawing (of dream machine lol)...
Other than that...best I can suggest is a brothel...what??? (sorry, had to steal spunkys joke)

nah its a crap feeling isnt it. Try...oh bugger it. do the list OUTSIDE of work, and damn well DO your work before your boss yells at ya. everyone wins.

Yep! If you don't have a girlfriend. Find one! One who likes Lancers even! That way she won't mind hearing you talk about the car.
You will still think about the car, but I find that women are pretty distracting. lol

Actually, I have horrible luck with women and cars, so maybe my advice isn't the best. lol

Seriously...I'd say search the forums, get ideas, read up, and do your research before deciding what you want to do to the car. Ask questions if you have any, and you'll find there are knowledgable members willing to help you make the right choices for your Lancer and your taste in mods.

I hate to tell you this, but it won't get any better once you get the car. lol
All you will want to do is drive it and think about what mods to get. So try and get all that decision making done now. That way, once you get the car you can go to work on it.

you need to decide if you you wana go cruiser or ricer.. err racer.

Id cruiser then start with sound system then work towards rims/lowering.

For racer start with springs, sway bars and intake....

In that case i would start with rims, intake
Then do sound system
Then lower it and rear swaybar

IM going cruiser so im not touching zorst otherwise it ruines the ride enjoyment.

But ill be doing rims next (done sound system) and then lower it a little and ill be done.

27 September 2007 to 12 December 2007. Date was set for 9th December, then postponed to 24th January, then to 21st Feburary. That is when I complained to Mitsi Oz about the wait for the "hero model in the hero colour" (the one plastered all over the tv etc) being low in stock. I got a Red VRX, no rockford system in manual. There was none anywhere in Oz at the time. None at all. Black and blue was apparently a longer wait, but I wanted red. I even had to order the car "off the brochure" as there was no VRXs at all to test drive or look at. 9 days after I ordered the car a CVT equipped VRX was given to me to test drive, however that was after I'd done the deal. Thats what I get for wanting the deal done on Launch Weekend LOL

the body number assigned to me when I ordered was different to the one on the day I picked it up. My dealer (good mate) told me, off the record, that somebody missed out and I got theirs because I complained to head office.

Something fishy did go on, and I don't know what, but I didn't really care as long as I got my car.

Don't get me started on other things I've complained about to Mitsi Oz.

I wanted a red VRX too (June 08) but I was also told - none in australia (manual). I basically opted for a VR to ease the wait, promising myself I'd mod it up to Evo spec lol....
