Hmmm... interesting title isn't it?
I was reading TMR when I came across this article... It seems Peugeot wants to buy Mitsu...
http://www.themotorreport.com.au/47035/ ... ort/#title
Very interesting this.... and worth following.
Why do I say this? Well, it's because we all know the French make RUBBISH cars... of which quality control is non-existant. And now they want to take majority share in Mitsu? Hmmm....
Classic case of quality control of Jap cars going down the drain is Nissan-Renault. Renault's quality control has gone up slightly from the years of Nissan management, however what rubbish has Renault been pushing out of Nissan factories? Examples: Tiida... Micra.... need I say more?
Let's see if this merger goes ahead. If it does, I'm seriously interested to know if the same fate will happen to Mitsu. If so, it's bye bye Mitsu for life for me, it'll turn me off buying one, until rectified . I hope this never happens.
What do you guys think? Discuss

Typical French, Peppy Le Phew always chashing something better than themselves.
They claim they have been hit hard by the GFC (Global Financial Crisis).
But the fact is that the European's are seeking to buy affordable and more interesting cars from the Asian market, and the only way for Peugeot to stay viable is to be part of it.
So "Lets Buy Mitsubishi"
First attempt: Outlander convert to Peugeot 4007 SUV
Imagine that grill on a Lancer, not to mention the big black kitchen door hanlde provided to mount your number plate on.
"NOT FOR ME THANKS"
Perhaps Peugeot should look at buying Mazda, they have similar thoughts when it comes to front grill designs.
PS: "Heavy Duty Hood-Lift Gas Struts" are now available, how else would they lift that huge Peugeot Badge !

Speedie does have a point..........
Yeah I'm not keen on this merger to be honest. French cars are re-known for thier lack of reliability and quality control. Not to mention some questionable design concepts hahaha. The arse end of a Megane... yuk...

I wouldn't really be alarmed with the possibility of a Peugeot buyout. Mitsu are on a crisis and the French need to make reliable cars. I should say the merger would be mutual.

Problem is, business will always be business. There'll always be pros and cons for them, usually affecting the customer to a greater extent. Nonetheless, it's hard to say at this point. If shareholders/stakeholders are anything like us, they'll speak up (hopefully) and it won't go ahead. Though, I wouldn't mind an upgrade on the interior (though it'll probably cost me an arm and a leg also).
