top speed

i was just wondering what the top speed everyone has been.

i have been 130mph downhill and 125mph on flat road.

this was done on a track. remember racing belongs on the track. the bad news is that i ruined my hi flow cat. it got to hot.

Fastest I have been while driving is 215km/h (about 130 mph). It wasn't in a Lancer - it was in a work car and it didn't like it. The car was all light and floaty like it wanted to lift off the ground (it was a Ford Fairmont BA MkI for reference). I had to slow down as I hit a bird and it made the front bumper come apart with one piece flying off in the distance never to be seen again.

In my lancer only about 120km/h (about 70mph) - it's only got 800km (480mi) on the clock and not run in yet, so can't go too fast.

the only cars i've been in going over 140mph is a 1996 camero ss - 150 drag limit , a 2007 mustang gt -155 drag limit, and a 2007 vette- 180 that was scary on a back road.

I managed to get up to 180kmh (115mph) on a straight flat stretch of road but i had to slow down coz i needed to turn off. Im wishing i kept goin tho to see wot it could do

End of speedo on the track **cough** in the lancer.
280ish in my soarer... also on the track **cough****cough**

Im manual so im not sure what teh auto is like but 2nd gear goes to 100ish, 3rd 150ish, 4th 180 - 190.
TBH i was more scanning the track ahead to see what was comming then watching my speedo but i was maxed 4th easy.

160kmh (100 mph) on a recent trip but didn't push my luck with the po po.
Trying to drive responsibly, a little squirt then used the cruise control so I'd behave!!

150 ish in the lancer so far (just barely finished run in) 180 in my old toyota echo

I can't wait to open the lancer up properly.

I've gotten the Lancer up to about 180 kmh (115 mph) , but the road wasn't perfectly straight or flat. It didn't seem to want to go any faster and I didn't feel like being pryed from the car with the jaws of life, so I let off.

I done about the same speed in a 91 Toyota Corolla also.

they really do have a good little engine in them.
TO get a higher speed you will really need good intake/zorst because it wants more air but it cant get it properly.

when i got up to that speed my exhaust started sounding funny.well i just dropped the exhaust and took a look at the cat. well it's fine, but the header is wrong. for anyone that has the header they know that there's a flex section on it. well that flex section is almost swelled shut. there's only like a dime or so sized hole. i don't know about you but i think that might be my problem.lol. time to call RRM i guess. here's a pic of what i'm talking about.
