As The Rolling Stones once said... Paint it Black.

(In this case, the AC condenser (front most)

Here's my first attempt to chrome my front.
I wasn't happy with the finish, so I took it off. I'll have a second go tomorrow.

It's just so hard to do it on your own, you really need a second pair of hands,
or use the wet method, which I will try next.

Yea. The wet method is easier. The best thing even the tiny bubbles will disappear after a while :)

I was hoping that the number plate would cover the creases, but they are still visible at the bottom and its not the best around the tow plug.

It's so hard to get this stuff on smooth. If you get a crease in it, you can't get rid of it. It marks the film and looks like a scratch. It doesn't stretch and is pretty thick. I'll try again with some soapy water. You have to get this stuff on straight the first time, there are no second chances like with the stretchy black vinyl.

I was not happy with the Aspire grill next to black fog lamps surrounds. I chromed the eyes of the fog lamps and painted the rest colour matched to centre grills.
This I think has improved the look. I have thought about changing the centre of the bumper but have not come up with something I have liked.
I love the vinyled centre with chrome edging with black grills, but I think it would look odd on a champagne coloured car with Aspire grills.
I would love suggestions or photos of other champagne front ends.

Not to change the subject but that why I bought the Aspire over the VRX, all the extras. :D Still not sure what to do with centre of bumper.

I would've too... but Aspire did not exist back 2 years ago

Plus it's CVT only (booo!!!)

As for your front, perhaps the chrome would look good? I don't think the blackout would go well with the champagne and the chrome/silver grilles.

I thought of blacking the centre and running 1" wide chrome strips just down the side to match in with the grills. I think chroming the centre looks good but will draw attention from police as I believe you are not allowed to chrome large areas, as it could blind others.
I wish I new how to photo shop. Good mechanically not with computers.
