cigi lighter not working

hey since i got my car back from the panel beaters my power socket hasnt been working. i checked the fuse and the wiring going into the back of it and both seem fine. any idea? if i cant fix it today ill take it back tomorrow and get em to fix it.

Just take it back to Gary Crick, as they might've done something.

Let us know how you go. Don't forget to tell them you checked the fuses. Don't mention anything about you checking the wiring, they might spack.

apparently it was the fuse after all. looked fine to me but hey im no expert in fuses. wasnt covered under warranty so they stung me for $20 but oh well

If in doubt you should always meter the fuse!

If not you read what the other fuses in the box are for and pinch the fuse from something not overly important that has the same sized fuse and use it in the position of the possibly dodgey fuse...

One think I would recommend dooing now is going to supercheap and buy a pack of standard fuses and another pack of the newer mini fuses. Only a few $$ each and they give you like one fuse of each of the common sizes! Then keep them in your glovebox just in case for future use!
