Honestly, I wouldn't wish for this to happen. You know my overseas dealer for the RA tail lamps which both Peanut and ChrisB got through me for A$580 delivered?

No more. Their business department has been warned by Mitsubishi JP not to do such a transaction anymore.

So now the cheapest I can get those for are through Preston Motors for A$698.00.

pfft, having now got my set (not on the car yet) i seriously dont know why anyone would bother with the RA ones.

the LED's look sweet.

and having looked at both the smoked and chrome.

there is next to no difference between the two. the smoked ones have a clear finish around the edges, the chrome ones have a black finish around the edges ...

its the only difference.

to this day, ive nearly really noticed how red the rear lights are on our cars ... compared to these leds they look like pink neon lights.

really happy with them well done ofey, and well done on the great price

bah, sorted it.

its a bastard taking the little plugs out for the "carpet" stuff though

still have to do the boot lights (its started to rain) but it looks good already

just having the smoked light, next to the normal boot light, makes it look even better

have posted up a shot of the "smoked ones" very little difference between the two, but for those that would like to compare.

wow still very "chromey" for smoked tail lights. If all the chrome was replaced for just plain black plastic I'd certainly be more keen to think about getting them... Still just don't know what'd suit a blue lancer with a Evo X spoiler though...

ofey, im having the issue with cruise control. also my arc warning has come up.

is that related to the lights? im getting the car serviced monday anyways, but just wondering if that was what you where talking about that may happen and need a resistor?

Yeap apparently the problem of your cruise control failing happens in some cars.

It happens in mine.
While my brother's VRX and cjsig's ES also presents NO problems.

The LEDs give the car's ECU the impression that the bulbs have blown thus giving you that report.

The fix is 2 X A$0.37 resistors from Jaycar.
Get a pair of wirewound 180ohm 5W resistors and insert them between the red and black wire of the 2 corner side lamp units and you'll never have that problem.

Other companies will use a small bulb between the 2 points.
