07 to 09 lancer trims with security alarms
Do all older lancer models and trims not come with Alarm systems? I see the fuse is plugged in the fuse box yet it seems like I'm not able to activate the alarm. So does this model year have the built in alarm system? or do they only come with the engine immobiliser?

Why only the immobiliser and not have the security system? and why have the fuse connected in the fuse box yet it doesn't do anything

Oh okay, would it be possible to install an aftermarket system and have it still synced to the keyfobs?

Re: 07 to 09 lancer trims with security alarms
I think it would have to be a canbus alarm. It would make sense to do it that way to avoid extra remotes and it would stop the factory immobiliser getting annoyed with the extra stuff. This wouldnt be a diy install. I used to fit car alarms for a company for many years. They are very compicated.

The other option is to find out what bits are required for the Oem alarm and fit those and enable using ETACs software. Lots of People do this on Peugeot cars. They have similar software and in lots of cases where the same in some cars as the Mitsubishi cars. This is how they originally made stuff to customise the Etacs.

Here is a link explaining the standard alarm from the lancers/ASX/outlander
You may need to turn on google translate. It's configured through the etacs. It explains about extra sensors etc you can add.

So would i have to do some pre-wiring for the hood sensor? or would it just be like plug and play where i replace the latch with the one that has the sensor? and with the fuse box would i just be able to plug in c-317 cable and have it work?
And i saw about programming it, how would i do that? or would i have to leave that to a professional?

Re: 07 to 09 lancer trims with security alarms
You will need the correct cable (tactrix or mini vci) that's compatible with MMcoding and MMcoding writer software.
Software available here

If you can't find it I can send it to you its free software. Just send me a private message with your email and I'll send you it.
The bonnet wiring is most likely there but I can't guarantee you of that. It looks like this. This is on my car an Evo X
Remove the plastic cooling panel.
The wired bonnet switch looks like this.
The plug and factory wiring for the bonnet switch
Hope that helps

I see the bonnet one so by saying that would the rest of the system wires by there just have to purchase the parts?

Alright, I'll look into it and with the boot alarm and door alar.? Is that also similar to the hood where I'd be able to see where the connector is?

Found this, could only try. I actually read people enable the horn through the etacs for the alarm.
