One thing I noticed after I got my CJ back from its 150k service (135k on the odometer) was the next service info when you start up now just says 'OFF'.
Is this common and can it be turned back on?

car off, select service screen on multi function display, press and hold info, next service interval timer should flash up.
off is one of the options after countries, I mucked around and had mine counting down miles at one point

Yeah normally you get the kays count down, I'll check this out...
All mine did was have the 'spanner' think start flashing when I held down the button, pressing it again and it stopped, could not get it to show anything else.
FYI this is an 09 VRX with an Outlander cluster.

Press and hold, it'll beep, then short presses quickly afterwards, I'm going to service mine in the next couple of weekends, I'll jog my memory and take pictures.

Tried all that, didn't do anything. Each time I got the spanner flashing but when I quickly pressed the button again it just stop flashing and nothing had changed. It still says OFF on the right side of the spanner picture.

Re: Next Service Warning Turned Off?
After watching some youtube videos and stuff I decided to give it another crack and it worked.
This reminds me on setting an old VCR clock, or microwave without the instruction book!
Basically I did this...
- Ignition OFF and doors closed.
- Find the service screen.
- Press and hold the button 4 times until it beeps each time.
- Press the button quickly 3 times and you're in!
From here it gets a bit messy, I was trying a bunch of things but from memory OPTIONS appears on the screen.
I think I press and held the button until the beep.
Then you have the country settings, quickly press the button until AUS comes up, don't worry if you go past as it cycles through again.
Press and hold again until the beep, this I think bought up the service option.
Now I messed up at this point, at first it had 15,200 (the distance until my CJ hits 150k)
But I did something and it them showed 30,200.
Took me a few tries to clear it but basically I had had to go through and turn it off again, then start over to get the 15,200 back.
Now the question remains as to why they turned it OFF?
Maybe they were just as frustrated as me if they had to use the one button to do this?

Re: Next Service Warning Turned Off?
30200 would have been your next service after the 150k one, I did it on mine too, as I had over run the service by 10k and it went 5k till next service, then 20k till next service. So you can skip services if you dare

Re: Next Service Warning Turned Off?
Not planning a road trip any great distance so unlikely to do another 15k within 12 months. Under the warranty agreement I have to do them every 15k or 12m which even occurs first. They even put the exact date not just month and 149,000km on the windscreen. Mind you they had 134k on there before this service and it was about 700km over that, I actually as is it 134 or 135k?
Re: Next Service Warning Turned Off?
I'm positive that if you have a read thru the owner manual it tells you all about this, I'm sure it's in there
