well, like they say sometimes no replacement for displacement, i'm sure any mods equally done the 4b12 will come in the winner due to its higher displacement, i mean my mate had an SX and when he drove in my GSR he saw the immediate difference; im not dissing but yeah pros and cons to all trims hey

Have all the displacement you wish
If it's EFI and you don't do the basics your giving away power. Plain and simple

Turbo is easy, cheap power; and with the ralliArts/evo one big step up is the turbo upgrade which will then further take you to the next level, one which our NAs can’t ever do

Dunno where you guys came up with cheap power from.
I know for a fact you,can get bolt on kits for about 5 grand USA and that ain't cheap .by any stretch of the imagination.
There is cheap parts
Then is smarter ways to do things
And there is devises that make turbos look like Lego

Buy an iDRIVE throttle controller kit, easy to install and will give you that boost you're looking for without going all out :D
Lots of other similar devices out there too

Hahah well look at it this way, if you were to do a straight bolt on kit and every single bit and bop to the NA then do a straight on turbo kit, the turbo kit would gain most power by far, just can’t beat forced induction on a 4cyl for power

iDRIVE or an alternative is the way to go bro!
That laggy throttle when you hit the gas disappears once the controller is turned on

Nah bro, sounds like it from the "i" though LOL.
Gets rid of the painfully slow revs
