I'd do the 150k without the brake fluid and coolant.

Re: Which service should I get?
Thanks, its booked in for the 150k but I'll confirm what is to be done when I drop it off.
They reckon it will take most of the day, previously it was done by lunch but apparently they had a change of policy so like them longer in case other work takes longer.

Re: Which service should I get?
So just checked the cabin/pollen filter and while dirty it wasn't bad. I wrote the date on the front, put it in almost 3 years ago, Dec 2015. Forced the fins apart to vacuum out the fluff/dust but will get another in the coming weeks.
Is there any difference between the $10 or $30 ones on eBay?

I'm running a Sakura Activated Carbon one in my car, (I wanted the Bio Guard one), they're only cheap too I believe, (but I get them cheap), mines only been in a couple of months, so I haven't checked it, but it seems to be doing its job, only when I've been sitting behind a vehicle running rich do I get the fumes smell, but other odours seem to be stopped at the filter. Also running Sakura Oil filter as they pretty much make most of the OEM filters anyway ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Re: Which service should I get?
So got the service done, 150k at about 135k.
Few notes, it was quicker than I thought. Originally slated to be all day (4pm) but was ready by lunch.
They did the fuel filter, which left a strong petrol smell in the car.
Windscreen was a little dirty, like oil or WD on it, took a while to clean with the wipers.
Again with changing the controls, seat I can understand with shorter drivers but why turn the climate control AC off auto and turning the auto headlights off?
Also my brakes are down 5mm front and back, min is 3mm so they might be due soon.
And I told them they didn't need to touch the tyres, air filter or AC filter but they noted the tyre depth on the paperwork.
Got the car booked into Bridgestone tomorrow for a free check and rotation.
Still pricy at $540, the fuel filter parts alone was $250!

You are lucky that they actually changed the fuel filter for you. Now I know what to look for when my turn comes. A standard service, if done properly takes around 45min hoist time. Extra hour for the filter. They say it takes all day to give themselves time to order parts in and do up sell, unplanned work.

Should have checked the dash cam videos for the exact time it was in, it did go up on the hoist, need a hidden camera under the bonnet LOL
I can only assume if they sign off that work was done and it hasn't then something breaks because they lied they would be held accountable?
So brakes might be my next big expense, I've seen on eBay nice drilled rotors and pad for around total $500, front and rear.

Worth considering?

Re: Which service should I get? - 150k Done!
Reviving the thread...
Got the car booked in for a minor service Friday, basic oil/filter and a bunch of checks. They will also be doing the brake fluid because of the new pad/rotors and its been almost 2 years.
But I asked them about the coolant which is also almost 2 years and the head service guy said it didn't need doing.
Should it be done and how much extra?
The current expected cost will be about $320 for the basic service, plus $80 for the brake fluid change.

Most places only shove in the green coolant and I get the cooling system flushed and cleaned every two years.

That's basically what the head service guy said, I trust him but was always told your coolant needs doing every 2 years regardless of kays and environment.
They will be testing the coolant and go from there.
Because of the used car extended warranty they have done all my services over the last 5 years.
It's under the kays at just 142k for a now ten year old Lancer. But still an average of 14k per year is about average I would think?

Re: Which service should I get? - 150k Done!
Yeh they said the WP was $400 plus (don't remember the number) I will be getting them to send me a itemised quote Monday but basically its booked in for next Friday. Will take 5 working days for the parts to get here and it was too late to order them today.
They said you can see the coolant leak on top of the water pump, I had a quick look when I got home, couldn't see anything. Where around the drive belts do I need to look?
I will be asking for the old parts back.
Total was the high $900s.

The water pump is at the back of the engine (left hand corner standing in front of the engine). If small leaks might be hard to see.
Not sure how to attached image.

Saw Gates water pump in australia around $100 so the quote one must be original Mitsubishi parts.
