Hey guys, gonna be a newbie- style review as i have no idea what clutch pack was used but meh
Got an upgrade to a heavy duty clutch this week, the days of my L's and early Red P's took a toll on the poor thing
Overall i am well happy with the process, parts AND Labor came to $1200 and it took a day and a half (would have been a day but they had a standard clutch pack delivered instead of Heavy Duty) and considering i got quoted $1600 by another place for a "similar to factory" clutch i am absolutely cheerin'!
Pro's
- feels strong and you can feel the difference in engagements compared to an OEM clutch.
- The bite point, after taking a few moments to adjust, is a dream. bite point is immediate after beginning to release clutch.
Con's
-Stalling it leaving the mechanic.
- that ******* hillstart on Victoria Avenue ( Castle Hill Fam will understand the pain )
i know heavy duty may not be a huge performance gain in an N/A (4B12 life) but hey, sounds better on the mod list
***before people rant, i got it for its durability and the price i was given not for the mod list***

Well at least you know now you can go nuts with the motor and mod till your hearts content and not have to worry about burning out the clutch anytime soon

If you don't know what was fitted, how do know you got a heavy duty clutch? Always ask to see the old and new parts while the job is being done.

Good bit of advise there.
I have seen others take their car in for a serivce and say to the mechanic
In the back of the car is a big cardboard box. Anything you replace on my car you put it in the box.
Keeps the mechanics honest

We keep everything we change on customer cars so they are available for inspection by the customer. 90% of them
don't want to see their old parts but you occasionally have someone ask to look.

Fair point, however i put my trust in the mechanics as i know them through family friends (personally)
guess i will see how the clutch goes for now, if i notice anything that points toward a standardised clutch i wont hesitate to call them out, did the same thing with a set of rims, would do it again for the clutch
