The probably have it at 10,300 so when you offer 9,900 they say yes.

I'd get a REVs check and a mechanical inspection before doing anything.

Very much stock VR-X with decently with around 10k traveled per year. As long as the services have been carried out on time by a Mitsubishi service centre I don't believe you will have an issue with it. With a current roadworthy and full rego it may be worth the 10 mark they're asking.

I personally wouldn't pay over 9K for it (for any nearly 10 year old VRX for that matter), but that's just me. Don't let me sway your opinion on it though, it looks very well kept externally but please be cautious with your test drive. Happy hunting.

A bit dear I reckon, see if you can get it down to the low to mid 9k's! Like someone else said it is nearly a 10 year old car now even though it is still the current shape! If you look around you may find a slightly newer VRX around the same price

Looking around should always be an open option when looking for a car. Even if you have your eye set on one, always keep the other on searching. :P

If I were after an Automatic lancer, I would save a little more and throw my money at a well maintained RA. That's just what I would do. They have only been getting lower and lower. The general CJ lancers such as the ES, VR, VRX etc etc are great cars, having a little extra bite in the RA really makes a world of difference for an auto. Enjoyable to drive, little bit more care required maintenance wise but nothing crazy.
