Hi peoples im new here and im hoping someone can help me out.
I just bought an aftermarket double din cd player for my misses cj lancer es and im having trouble fitting it with the aftermarket fascia i got in the kit. No matter where i put the brackets it just wont go in.
Was wondering if anyone has had this problem before and any ideas to fix it.
Im thinking that maybe i can buy a factory double din touch screen surround and maybe itll fit properly, but other then that.
Im a mechanic by trade and fitted numerous cd players before, but this dodgy aftermarket surround has done my head in. I spent over 4 hours today trying to make it fit all to no avail.
If anyone can help with any suggestions it would be very greatly appreciated.
Thanks heaps
Jono

Re: Cj lancer aftermarket double din cd player
im assuming that you mean the headunit is installed and the fascia is not lining up correctly?
i had the same problem with mine the factory brackets for the HU probably wont line up like the factory so you kinda have to move them around to find out what works. took me like 5mins of trial and error till i found the right spots to screw in.
my fascia also being aftermarket is tight as hell but you kinda have to line it up and push it in like straightish. with mine i kinda have to push the top a little first to make sure that the top clips are a tiny bit in and then have to push the whole thing in together.
