Gee that is a bit rich considering they were only purchased for $80 on Facebook. I was interested but was to slow.
I need the relay too.

Re: seat heater wiring and switch
Just wanted to thank everyone for this thread (and those diagrams! thank you!)
I managed to snatch a switch and wiring harness from eBay for about $100 and did a DIY install today. This is what I got:
I didn't have the relay with me, so I temporarily used the defroster relay for this until I get the relay from a wrecker this week. The harness came with the connector to the 12v socket that sits in the compartment under the arm rest. And I had to remove and take out the entire centre console just to plug in the new harness to the 12v socket.
Anyway, after a couple of hours of work, I managed to get them to work. It was pretty easy.
This is the under side of the centre console, the new harness connected to the 12v socket and secured to the console using the plastic mounting clips.
All done!

Re: seat heater wiring and switch
Just in time for summer
But well done, wish my CJ had heated seats some cold winter mornings.
Okay dumb question but I have a 09 VRX (non leather seats), any chance it has the heat element in the seats but just missing the switch , wiring and stuff?

Haha, yeah now I'm all set for summer.
As for your question, if your seats have the heating element, you should see a 3 pin connector under the seat. Page 1 of this thread had photos of what you should be looking for.

Re: seat heater wiring and switch
I'll have to stick my head under there tomorrow, wasn't sure if heated seats were only in the leather ones?
Re: seat heater wiring and switch
Thanks to SAM-24A - he's review is the best !
But i have another problem. I take the Wagan IN9438-2 12V Heated Seat Cushion and after few uses my connector which is thrust into the cigarette lighter are broken.
So question - can i plug it to standart system of heating?

lol Leather and vinyl need heating, because they get cold, cloth dose not, so why bother?

Your butt on the seat will warm it pretty quick. I really think for most in Australia we really don't need heated seats, even leather ones.

Re: seat heater wiring and switch
My main reason for buying the LX was because of the leather heated seats, they are an absolute god send in Winter, they also are helping me through back pain with this pregnancy as well. (However you guys don't live in Tassie and have to deal with the extra fresh mornings haha)
I have no regrets, none what so ever, plus Leather is easier to maintain/clean and doesn't show stains for when children are in the car
The only downside is that in Summer it does burn your butt. But it's no different to the VRX/RA/Evo Steering wheel/Leather steering wheel and gear knobs lol.

Re: seat heater wiring and switch
About 2 years ago someone had listed a full set of leather seats and door panels for around $2000, not a cheap upgrade!
Added - just did a search and someone in Ingleburn NSW as a set listed for 'just' $1595!

Thank you! I know it's been about 10 years and you've probably moved on.
I stumbled on this post and remembered there was a Grandis at Imlachs a few months back. So I head on over first thing today to find that Grandis. It's been pretty much ratted with the interior pulled to bits. But searching in the back cargo area I managed to find the console with the Unicorn attached! the seat heater switch! Almost missed it as it's a small floor console!
Yes we are in the middle of summer, but it gives me time to install the leather heated seats from the LX earlier in the year. Stupid me forgot to grab the switch and wiring last time
