I've been honoured with the responsibility of organising the Goodna Jacaranda Festival Car Show n Shine Event. Not only that, my pride and joy Zena is the promo car!!

Sunday 30th October 9-1 gates open 6am to set up.

Space is limited, at present we estimate 350 cars however if I get a great response we may be able to find more room.

If you know anyone willing to volunteer:

* their time on the day, I need traffic directers to get cars into positions etc

* photographers

* models

* prizes and awards - I'm aiming to have categories with prizes / awards and some random giveaways on the day so it doesn't matter how big or small

* car related businesses wanting to get involved or perhaps have a stand or promote on the day (pending what you want to do I'll need to run it past festival committe - their would be some cost in a stand however not the full 3 day festival price as its only one day).

*** Respond on event page please and also ClubCJ.net so we can track the event total for festival committee and club representatives for Club.

Post a pic of what you will be attending the day in (again please here and event page) I'm working on a prize for the best photo (note car with jacaranda images get bonus point!) ***

nothing much has changed, got the evo spoiler on and painted and i fitted a sub in the boot on sunday haha. sad i missed the day at sals. though it was on a different day

Date is fast approaching, it would be good to see some CJ's attend

Prizes galore are rolling in at the moment, I've got 2 car detailing businesses on board, a mechanic shop, Repco, A1 Auto putting together some oil packs to give away, 2 x custom photo plagues, trophies etc

looking like my RA will be getting tuned by merlin on this day so likely wont be able to make it anymore

Pretty disappointing turn out on the CJ front with a whole 2 CJ, mine and Kandice's Evo Mr "Goth". Kandice took out best female and I was left to take Best CJ trophy which is something I would of handed to next in line being the event organizer however there was no one to hand it to ;-( We did have 2 Evo's beside us though.

Thankfully the event was a huge success and I think we converted a few to the CJ family particularly the Evo and RA, one conversion being a Morris Minor driver!

I was very impressed with the caliber and quality of the cars, far superior to most shows I've been to. We had loads of prizes to give away and I'd managed to convince Qld Motorsport Museum to come on board and they brought the Brock 05 Commodore down and the Dick Johnson True Blue replica car down as well as a Alfa 147 race car. I did offer to drive more down from the museum however was politely refused ;P

I've been asked back to do next year, my aim to double the 150 cars and with 6-12 months as apposed to 6 weeks to organise we should see 300+
