Re: New owner of 2016 Lance ES Sport
So Lucky to get a new car as your first car... mine was a 10yo (at the time) Mini Moke many many MANY years ago!
The CJ/CF is a nice car, have fun with it.

Welcome to the club, Methu.. . I also bought a new MY16 ES sport as my first car a few months back.. I fit the aftermarket blindspot sensor and the sunroof.. It has been good to drive around but sometimes, i wish it has more power... and sometimes, I feel that what I want and what CVT give me a bit different..
Have fun, man

Was the blindspot sensor a Mitsy part or 3rd party universal one? Not here of a blindspot sensor being an option on the Lancer. Does this work through the mirrors with a light when someones in the blindspot?

Just a 3rd party one.. The Mitsy dealer fitted it for me.

The blindspot warning light is inside the car. It blinks when someone is in the blindsport. It beeps when I change the indicator for turning..
Something like that in the picture below.

Thanks for the info. Its just another thing the CF should have had in the side mirrors like many other cars in 2016.
Can I ask how much it cost? I guess it needs some sensor fitted externally for it to work, the mirror ones are usually located in the mirror, a sensor like used for parking.

Sorry for late reply, mate. I don't get the email notification for some reasons.. It costs me 1427.27. I did it at the dealer. I guess it might be cheaper if I do somewhere else.

You will find heaps of things, to both after market and DIY for performance and Bling in the threads
Happy hunting!

What! not worried about noise! Power wise it is what it is at a price. If you wanted more power, should perhaps gone for 2.4ltr model.
Personally I, having the same set up in the MY15 sport have no complaints with either power or CVT.
I do however like a sweet running motor so have to date added a RA induction snorkel Cost new $175 worth every cent, smoother take off, better accelerator response nicer, sound. Power change? Easy fit, take off the old two studs and pull, put on the new snorkel, push and replace, two studs, although one of the studs will need a longer one
I threw the Yokohama tyres out after just 3000km couldn't stand the noise. Fited 215 60 16 Bridgestone Turanza Serenity plus tyres.
Now enjoying a much quieter more comfortable ride.

Yes. I wanted to but If I go for GSR, I won't be able to afford for sun roof.. I bought mine around jan or feb this year so MY16 was so new at that time and I couldn't negotiate the price.. I had to wait a couple of weeks just to get the Metallic Red color car. Sometimes, I thought I could just get a one year old used RA or demo RA instead of MY16 ES sport. Well, it's too late now.

Good.. but 0-60 times, i think it's around 7 or 8 secs.

Thanks for the tips.. I will see if I can fit them on my lancer.. BTW, I think my car rim are 15.. I always want to upsize it to 18" or 19". but What I found on Google said that the recommended scale is +-1 only.. Do you think it is a good idea to upsize the wheel?
