I recently bought a somewhat expensive "heavy duty" Tablet mount for my 8" Samsung Tab A,
However, The "heavy duty" mount is pretty much useless and was pretty much unable to hold my tablet which is incredibly light :S
So! I'm thinking of going DIY!
Has anyone done a custom mount that sits in your vents at all?!

Re: Tablet Mount!
I have an android headunit picked out, but that's pretty much a later down the track change over, at this stage I just want to mount the tablet so I can keep an eye on everything in the RA!

Re: Tablet Mount!
If you plan using this on a track day you might want something more.
That said the only time I had an issue with mine was on an unplanned dirt road excursion and the corrugations.

Appears to me to be irresponsible on dash and windscreen, as only advantage is to look at it while driving. A big NO NO!!!

Re: Tablet Mount!
No different to a gps in a car. Which is a basic function of a tablet, plus you can log ecu data.

Irresponsible? It's not exactly irresponsible to look at it while you are stopped at a traffic light, or if you have a passenger,
Secondly, It is no different to those who have touch screen headunits, or use their phone to catch Pokemon while driving.

Re: Tablet Mount!
Hope you were joking about the last one
The one issue with a tablet is it has no safe guards as in linked to the hand brake to stop video playing unless it's on. As with most things it's a few people doing the wrong thing that wrecks it for the rest of us.

You said it! NO different to those who use their touch phones to catch Pokemon while driving!!!??? Responsible?
However I must concede there are useful items that can be utilized responsibly and conveniently from such a mod:
