Door Latch Cover

Postby Lancer1993 » Wed Jul 27, 2016 7:07 pm

So decided to get covers for the door latch, just a tiny 'mod' to dress them up but they don't fit. I've notified the seller (assume I chose the right ones) but not worth sending back as it's only a few dollars.

Below is the eBay listing, anyone else tried them?

It's a shame they don't fit, very simple little change but actually looks really nice.

I'll let you know if the seller responds.

The ones I have are from a different seller (Chinese) and are the same.

I was told to warm them up, with some hot water or a heat gun, not sure if this will help?

Heating them with hot water (depending on the thickness of the plastic, the water might need to be almost boiling) and then stretching them should do the trick. A heat gun might be too hot if you're not careful.

Not confident either will work, needs to be a couple of mm wider if you look at the photo I took. Wish they were rubber and could be stretched.

BTW I didn't get a chance to try it today, hopefully tomorrow.
