I really like the high mounted 3rd brake light found on the likes of some new BMWs. Anyone tried a DIY mod like this?

You'd have a few options with the stock one.
1) just leave it to have more brake lights.
2) Plastic dip it black or paint it the same color as the car.
3) go all out to get a body shop to remove it an fill the hole.
I do wonder with the lights how well a red LED strip would work if it's carefully secured in the back window although I think some are external and part of the roof, whole lot harder to make it work.
Really wish Mitsubishi had stepped up and done some real changes to the CJ for 2016, I mean how hard would it be to change the boot press and other bits to relocate the light to the top of the back window?
