Ive had iPhones for around 6 years and never once had to replace the screen and only dropped them a couple of times. I do agree some things are not perfect, as I highlighted with the iMac and other Apple computers with all metal cases like their laptops. I like how others have copied the finger print scanner with most placing them on the back or you need to swipe your finger to make them work. Some say they are not needed but OMG they make life so much easier when logging in or accessing secure apps that support it like banking.

Again. You have completely misread what I have said and read only what you want to hear. I said that I have dropped it multiple times and have had no screen cracks what so ever with the HTC phone I have bought.

I even bought a protective case for it. Haven't even used it once. (Y)

But in all honesty. Who cares. It's a preference. It's like comparing Xbox to Playstation. Etc Etc. It's all to whatever floats your boat.

I agree buy what you want, some phones are stronger (I agree) and there are plenty of non iPhones which can break just as easy.

I like my Apple eco system and really hope to add a touch screen HU to my car which works with it soon, but probably not a true CarPlay system. There are plenty of others that allow access to you music and phone without being locked into using the Apple Maps and gobble up your data.

At least Apple cares about security on the iPhone.

Right now technically Apple can not unlock any iPhone with iOS8 or higher, they have a built is erase function that wipes them if you have 10 unsuccessful log in attempts in a row and there is nothing Apple can do to change that.

Apples issue is if they build an update with a so call back door then basically that could be used to unlock every iOS device on the planet. Would you like the police to make a key that could unlock any door? They might say they only want it for that particular iPhone but if it fell into the wrong hands then just imagine to security implications.

Does make me wonder how secure are the Android and Windows phones?

Also consider what would happen if this went forward and people knew there next update would unlock there iPhone, many users would just avoid future iOS updates or buying the next iPhone.

Yesterday I sold my old iPhone 3Gs on eBay which I got new over 6 years ago, got $49 for it! Still working and thanks to it's case it looks like new with the original screen!

I was amazed the old 3Gs was still working, been sitting in a draw for the last 2 years or so, pulled it occasionally to power it up.

Depending on what the 7 brings I might be upgrading around Sept, thought the new SE does look good if you know want a 4" screen.
