Multi-information switch operation

Postby smithbro » Sun Feb 07, 2016 1:26 pm

Hey guys I just bought a 2011 CJ SX and it seems like the info button is not working. The display panel remains on A mode no mattet how long or short I press the button. Tried wite engine runnimh/not running, parked with doors closed. Is this switch known to be faulty or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks!

Alex

Sounds like a faulty switch, or just dirty contact within the switch itself.

Maybe the switch has become disconnected?

Thanks guys I pulled apart the dash trim and tested the switch with a multimeter. Works fine electrically. It had been pushed deep into the dash trim and this was preventing the switch from closing the circuit. Happy days now 😊

Good to hear.

So are you very handy and plan on doing some mods on your new CJ?
