Just confirming a cluster from a 2013 Lancer should be the colored type?

I've got a line on one for $199 which is a good price.

I thought it was a few years earlier but I will confirm, might be in the area later in the week so if I can get it and it's the right one cool!

Just talked to the wrecker and he didn't sound 100% sure if it was the colored display.

I know its probably risking someone else jumping on it but here is the listing.

I might be down there later in the week to check it out but if anyone can say if it s color of not that would be great.

Don't all color ones have speedo on the right, and the red ones have speedo on the left?

Google suggests so when you search up 2013 dash cluster and then flick through images.. Safe bet it is.

Also note the shape of the area where the warning lights are, and the LCD being wider than the red LCD.

I'm 90% sure is colored display cluster, here is a link with a red colored one and you can spot the difference

I'm 95% sure you can tell whether or not it's a coloured cluster, As far as I know the Tacho and Speedo are switched around.

Court's 08 VRX has her speedo on the left hand side (Red cluster) and I have mine on the right.... and I have the coloured cluster..

For example my cluster:

However, I could be very wrong if that's something they've changed in the later years.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Yes the speedo is on the right on the one listed and has a similar design as the pic above, the 09 is different. I know the LCD part is slightly bigger on the color ones so I'm 99% sure it is a color one.

Think I asked before but are there any extra features on the color ones, more settings?

I've got the car booked in for a service Friday, will ask them the cost of getting the ODO reset to match.

I did read some where the layout is a bit different, one screen showing the fuel and temp bars along with the AVG fuel used and ODO, like in the pic above. So less need to scroll through the screens to find something.

Yes that was the feature I liked about the newer cluster, a lot more function on 1 screen. I like to be able to read temperature and economy on 1 screen.

Just spoke to some at SGESCO in Brisbane and they do ODO rests but it's not cheap, over $300 and takes 3 days. Basically they need the new cluster and the ODO reading you want on it. So it means taking the car off the road for 3 days to get an exact match.

http://www.sgesco.com.au/

So that's $500 at least depending on the price of the cluster.

FYI I checked with a dealer and they send them to this place, and a new genuine one for the CJ will cost $680!

Might put this mod on the back burner for a little bit.

I just recorded the difference between the two speedometers. I will probably put the old one back in if I ever sell it. Then I will change the old speedometer to the correct kilometres

Wasn't a DIY method mentioned previously on this forum - just a case of a JTAG setup and some software?

If it was that simple I'd never trust a used car again.

I was also told it's illegal for them to wind back the ODO reading.

Would still like to do it one day but right now it will have to wait, just hope I can get a good cluster when I have the money. I'll still ask the dealer (different dealer) when I get my service Friday and see what they say.
