POD FILTER

Postby Joshua_ward » Wed Sep 09, 2015 8:43 pm

Is there a way to put a supercheap pod filter like this: http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/online ... pid=352316 , on a new cj lancer es sport?

Don't, it's pointless, does nothing to increase your power or use less fuel and in some states is illegal unless covered so making it pointless. Plus on a new car it could effect you warranty.

Yeah I know that, just because Im about to buy yet another brand new lancer, just that the new ones use some weird paper filter instead of the standard older one. Was just thinking a pod filter because you can clean and such the pod, where as the paper isnt as cleanable and i bet mitsi charges a few fingers for one lol

Definitely stay away from any pod filters for our cars, not worth the cash for a little more noise.

Speak to megatron (Alan) he will know which replacement air filters to get for the 2015 model.

I tried it not too long ago. Got a CEL and the car gains no benefits in the end.
If you endorse a pod filter you may as well put a tissue as a replacement for your air filter.

So the K&N Typhoon cool air intake is worth a miss? Was thinking about installing one after my XForce exhaust, not to interested in any power increases as its non-turbs so therefore pointless, what are the benefits other then then that?

Branded air intake kits go alright. Mixed reviews but hey, stuff happens.
Buying just a typical pod filter and some cheap tubing from super cheap wont do anything.
