Suggestions on boosting the Tassie population!

If you need any funding or support from the Club just let us know, I can't think of any ideas.. Big car meets with a ClubCJ banner would be the only thing i can think of.

At this stage I don't really want to do carshows or anything, my Lancer is pretty stock, I think maybe after a few subtle changes etc to the Lancer, I might be able to do something similar, It would definitely work though, Maybe even a bigger clubcj sticker for my back/front window could even help a little :O I'm pretty stuck on ideas at the moment

What about a BIG ClubCJ Event for sometime next year?

"CLUB CJ INVADES TASMANIA"

That should conceive some new members?

I could organise to have a big sticker sent down, but as you know you'll have to wait for that (hopefully not too long now).

I meant you could attend ones that are already setup in Tasmania, not to create your own.

And Shane not a bad idea, I've never been..

And that could also work as well :3 A trip to Tassie would be nice :3 I know it's pretty far away for some of you guys, but it would probably help a fair bit :3

A road trip to Tassie has been brought up between me and my girlfriend as something to do so why not get some ClubCJ'ers to come along and make an event out of it.
I hear Tassie has some great cruising roads =]

As Daniel said but you could also try places like Bob Jane, Autobarns etc to put up a flyer or counter stand....once it gets going you will have no problem. Is there a Downshift type community down there?
Try getting as many members as you can there to promote the club.

The major thing with anything is persistance and to have some sort of plan....Set yourself a goal to get 6 dedicated active members in 6 months...I think that would be achievable and its just 1 member a month but as is said once it gets going it will snow ball.

Maybe make up some simple flyers on your home printer and put one on every CJ you see...you never know who they might know that has one as well.

Check with Admin to see if they will give a discount for membership for a certain period of time for just Tasmania??? These days people allways want something for nothing

The other major point is that once you get the members DONT just sit back as they will fall by the wayside if you dont keep proactive AND....DONT GIVE UP :-)

The thing that you got going for it is you...it seems as though you want to grow the club.

I really want to get to Tassie, I want to witness Targa Tasmania in the flesh! I never made the boat trip across in my 1.5 yr working holiday tour of oz in my young days and its a big regret I didn't bite the bullet and go, just didn't have a big amount of $$ to cover myself if we'd not found work.

How about photography groups Tiff? You have been taking some great photos! There has to car minded photographers out there! I have to admit I didn't get fully into the car show thing till I started modding now I'm hooked and met some great people along the way!

The drags? Lap days? I came across a new Evo x at drags other night and got chatting with them, they've now signed up, I've just got to get them to introduce themselves now!

Your Mitsubishi dealer and service department! Form a relationship with them and get them promoting! Second hand car dealers.
