Just had my 60k service...they checked mine, said it was worn, and have ordered a new belt in to be replaced next week. OT....SST out to investigate a weeping oil leak then too.

Obviously not, they mustn't have received the information from Mitsubishi as of yet, its obviously a recall since we've had members receive letters.

wonder if this will be just for NA motors, or will include 4B11T aswell.
drive belt has been a known issue for ages. much like clutch master cylinder was

cool.
on my built motor I used hyundai pulleys and an oem belt.
Was tempted to put metal pulleys and an oem or gates belt on the GSR but might just wait for the recall

the pulleys are prone to failure on higher hp motors.

Are the parts being replaced the same across lancer range?

yes will be good to know if they replace pulleys or just the belt itself.
and if pulleys are replaced, is it just plastic again!

I didn't get a letter so I just went to a dealer branch and confirmed my car is on the list for it as well.

Will be getting mine done next week.

PSA:
For anyone that hasn't got a letter, pop by a branch (or call them) and confirm if your car needs to be recalled to get it replaced. The branch told me they got told yesterday about the recall so it could be about a day or two after that when letters would (or should) be received for owners to be notified.
