Blackout Chrome around front grill

Postby mcpondy » Wed Jul 23, 2014 9:17 am

So whilst looking for my ralliart, I looked at a few and found a white one that had the chrome around the front grill and the mitsi badge blacked out. It looked mad. He had also blacked out a complete black strip under the grill.

Its the look I want to go for black and white. The guy had used some sort of tape over the chrome bits. I'm not sure what exactly it was though. Any thoughts?

most likely vinyl or platidip. ALOT of us black out our chrome rings and lower lips with it.

OK, I've never come across it before. I haven't had a car worth modding in a few years lol. Do you think one can would be enough to do the chrome around the grill and the lower lip?

Should be...

Funny, those guys who get the chrome ring black it out, those without stick a chrome surround on...!

Actually, have a look at Kirtis' avatar - he did a soft-red chrome on his and I love it - something like that would certainly work on a white car...

...so many possibilities!!! :-)

Interesting, might look at that for the mitsi badge at least. I'm still keen on all black and white. Will most likely look at getting the rims done early next year, either in black or dark gun metal. I've ordered some black tail lights too.

Cant wait to get the tail lights installed. Will see how dark they are to start with, and go from there.
