Hey guys so one of my fogs blew so I went and installed some JDM yellow 3000k bulbs. I previously put in 5500k white bulbs to match my low beams and when I went to pull these bulbs out I noticed they had left a burn mark on the inside of the casing! I dont use them much so I would recommend to you guys not to use high Kelvin bulbs as the casing cannot handle the high temps. Here are some pics of the casings:

Hid's need ballists because they dont use a glowing coil like incandecent and halogen globes, the light made by a HID globe is from a arc created between two contact points inside the globe. The ballist is basically a way to turn 12v DC into 20-40,000v AC.
