Until Andrew mentioned it I did not think they would have different part number..for eg if you needed a new TCU i can understand why the part numbers would be different but for other mechanical stuff (clutch packs) shouldnt it be the same?

Well Mitsubishi don't sell just the gears etc. to go in them, they only sell them as a whole unit except the clutches, so they would have to be different part numbers if you think about it to distinguish between the RA and Evo boxes.

Not a RA but on my VRX they had to cut the bumper, so I did this... yes its a F1 style rain light, I've got it wired to my fog lights so it is only on when they are on.
2 bolts and a wire plug and it comes off ready for the tow hitch in seconds. I think its a nice solution to a problem that really should not exist.
