Just did a pic of it from about 8 steps away. I'm planning to put a light tint on the headlights, to make the rings stand out a bit more from the reflectors and the glare.

[quote:fbe835bf85=Lancer09]Woah that looks insanely awesome! Perhaps i shall have to try it out [/quote:fbe835bf85] If you are, be careful when you bake the lights. I accidentally started a little fire in my oven when a small piece of plastic melted off the headlight housing and landed on the oven heating element :p Dont set the temperature any higher than 105 degrees C *flame*

About 5 or 6 who actually log on here these days, there is others but I don't think they participate any more. Be careful with your power source not to drain the battery, when you run your cable to the cabin (drivers side footwell) you can tap a cable to a unused plug behind one of the redundant switches next to your ASC button. I'll have to check which one only draws when your ignition is on. You could build a switch from jaycar into one of the blanks so if you one day want to remove them an sell your car your interior is the same

Welcome Val :)

WA used to be quite active and have a lot of cruises but not so much lately... I guess most the members got jobs :P (or got new toys)

Headlight tinting can get you in trouble with the cops so be careful :(

Yeah, will have to organize a mini cruise sometime in the future.

Hey bud, had a look at my foglight install notes and pictures. For your in cabin power source to hook up a switch to this should help.

Check the unused connector for the automatic headlight levelling next to the ASC button the green and white striped wire (3rd from the top) is the 12v line for the button illumination.

If you tap this wire it saves you from running your positive wire over to the passenger side fuse box, and your lights can only be turned on when the parkers or headlights are on.

And as an added bonus power will be cut of with the headlights when the ignition is turned off, preventing a dead battery.

Omg, if it's exactly how you describe it, it'd be brilliant! Gonna take a look at it tomorrow, cheers :3

Mini cruise would be awesome =]
Not worried about getting into trouble cause of tinting though - my tint is really light, no darker than your average window tint :p it's almost illusive, it mostly just makes the illumination look more "crisp".. dunno if that makes sense.

OH! Forgot to mention.
When I was wiring the switch I first tried tapping into the the green/white wire of the automatic headlight levelling harness for power. Turned out that it would only actually have power when the headlights are on. I ended up running a wire from the passenger side fuse box after all, and it wasn't nearly as difficult as I first thought :o
