Whoa, this topic died a while ago. I'm wanting to put some LED's in to replace my tail/brake bulbs. Does anyone know how bright the original bulbs are? I wanna get something that's neither too dim nor overkillingy bright compared to the original brightness. Found some LED's that are supposedly 270 lumen:

Has anyone put in Led to replace original bulbs before?

I got THESE EXACT ones, and they fit perfectly into the parking light housing, the length is just right.

I believe limit would be the same as for the main lights. Honestly if you're choosing between 5000k and 6000k, the difference isn't so apparent unless you've got the two lights right next to each other. I'd say you're safe with 6000k, if a blue-ish glow is what you're aiming to go for. As long as it looks more white than blue you'll be ok.
