Well aussie I'm pleased with the end result and it looks good on the car, But when I get a product of shadows I'm happy for it to sit on my coffee table in the lounge before I fit it so everyone can have a good look and get jealous. The V-Lip I hid in my spare bedroom till I fitted it

hmmm Rick wasn't too pleased obviously. As I said, we're the only group he's had a problem with but he kept asking me how I felt the problem should be settled. That I would give him kudos for.

He knows the VOX guys well since they all are in cahoots so he says he doesn't mind it if Ryan is going to buy another piece from VOX which is why he's offered to pay the US$70 cost of the new front nose Ryan_C wants.

Nice guy still in my book. I'm looking to get a nose through him to make up for all of this.

Sounds good ofey, PM sent...

Thanks again for organizing the group buy and sorting out these issues!! We'd be lost without you!

Aussie my centre lip had no cracks and apart from the finish it was good.

so he's in contact again now? weren't we having trouble contacting him?

I did point out, my lip itself is not too bad... (thus i'm keeping/modifying it...) but the quality of materials and make is not great - much closer to fibreglass or something else rigid than we were led to believe... And while I'm happy with my fit, I personally would have been annoyed if I got the other one you had that day ofey (all scratched) or if I had one that had a 5mm gap like aussies! (no offence to your lip aussie, like I said, I'm a fitter by trade, I'm picky!)

summarising: I'm happy with what I got for the price honestly... just unhappy that the materials were said to be "good quality" and in my opinion they aren't... (but at the price I was thinking it mighta ended up being fibreglass anyway!)

*shrug*
I don't know the thing with him. I think he works nights so sleeps days.

I'm going to close this thread at the end of this week, now that all problems have been resolved.

I'll reactivate it when I find a better re-seller.

Many thanks to those who've contributed, esp ofey ;-) (I'm a suck, I know :-P) Loved the finished pics guys - You'll have to check my "jazzyb's ride" thread for pics when I get mine completed ;-)

You were happy enough ofey? all things considered now that it's "over"?

daveee's car has been lowered and there are some tricky driveways he visits. The V-Lip wouldn't last long from scrapage (same reason I didn't get one).

Yeah my airdams are fairly trashed on the underside so if I add another inch to the front of the car it's going to absolutely destroy the vlip. If I'm going to keep it I need to put the stock suspension back or find stiffer, higher springs...or adjustable coilovers....

admitedly, I can see if I park close to ANY gutter or go over a speed hump quick enough to dip the front down a bit, I'm gonna b scraped too...

Tossing up between having the car lowered or having a C-lip in the long run (c-lip 4 now ;-) either way looks hot - lip better from the front, lowered better from the sides - lol ;-)

I think I am going to go down the coilovers route. As much as I have bagged them out before - you can adjust decent sets quite a bit in terms of ride comfort AND height. So I can just wind it up to stock levels / slight drop when I'm doing daily driving and then slam it for cruises/track days without having to worry about scraping.
