so i guess i dont need one...
That stuff is useless on todays interiors as they are plastic and the plastic is made to withstand the heat.... it isnt porous ( spelling ?) so technically they have just wiped some chemical over the plastic which you could of done your self with a product a quarter of the price.
fabric protection is another thing .. its worth it
I would get a dash mat my self as trying to clean all the way to the edge of the windscreen is uber hard AND with the heat up here in QLD you find the residue of the armoural gets on your windscreen.
DONT use Armoural. Ok it gives a great shine at first, but it leaves greasy resedue and is silicon based (ok to use on breast implants, lol) and thats why when you use it on your dash an you have it in the sun you get the rainbow effect on your window. coming from a car loving family, (dad - Mechanic, brother panel beater) they all have had to do detailing classes and stuff and got to compare diffrent cleaners and armorall was the worst, and Ployglaze was best bang for your buck.
also dash Mats stop the reflection of your shiny dash in the window, therefore you can see out our window.

This reminds me regarding the cut out on the top of the dash... I took a pic of my dash whilst I was a passenger in it, and you can see the outline of mine... Only becuase the light was a certain angle and it reflected a bit.
I'll see if I can dig them out and upload them...
And Speedie, I think you mean the right of the picture, not the left
