1,500 complimentary service - what to expect?
Hi all,
I have a brand new 13 VRX.... I am wondering at the 1500km do they actually change and check the oil or is it only a check over?
Thank you

I never thought scheduled servicing includes a car wash. And even if they did offer one, I wouldn't want them to.

when i got my car new from mitsubishi i detailed it myself
they dont care about the car after its done
i found lines of drip that came from their "OEM MITSUBISHI INTERIOR CLEANER" and gave it a proper 6 hour loving with good products
and there is a reason the first "service" is free
just a quick check make sure everything is running smoothly and no defaults in the manufacturing process

LOL. Channel 9 and 10 I'm assuming? xD
They will learn... I will always be a step ahead

They might change your oil if you tell them you flogged the sh!t out of it and heard crunching gears and scrap metal noise :p
General rule of thumb, inspection takes time and therefore is a service and charged accordingly unless otherwise stated. So if your logbook shows some inspections due with an estimated duration, then there's a charge for it. You can opt to skip those preventative inspections and request only the necessary items (oil, oil filter, oil plug crush washer etc) be done, to maintain the warranty. This will cut your bill down and your wait time.
Edit woopsie misread first posts

Got mine done today. Took em 20minutes tops.. I checked the coolant/brake levels this morning before taking it there and checked everything afterwards and the levels were adjusted/topped up.
Afterwards there like no worries see ya in 15000 or 12 months whatever comes first..
Coming from a turbo car i used to service it every 5000kms. Im assuming with new cars you don't need to change the oil until the servicing is required?
