well all the colours were red, white, silver and mystic Blue, i dont like the mystic blue and silver. and cant order one in because they are doing a deal on 08 plated VRX for $28500 or a 09 plated one $32500

ive had both a white and a red car and i cant decide, i really like both. as per photo shops done b4. white with either black or bronze wheels or Red car with black wheels with the red stripe

Wow, an 09 VRX for $32500?! You're getting ripped! I'd do some research on prices to use as a bargaining tool before you lock that in. I was quoted $30,795 WITH the metallic paint BRAND NEW which we then knocked them down to $29490 including tint and mats. It seriously pays to do the research.

I'd be haggling for a lot more than just that! Its a global recession....They need you, more than you need them! Make sure you remind them that. Tell them you have 30 grand and if they don't want to deal with you, then they have to get security to remove you from the showroom. Or the same thing if you are on the phone - Tell them they have to hang up on you - I guarantee, no salesman from mitsu will hang up on a deal especially when they are doing it tough!!! Check demo models on carsales.com with only 50-80kms on them. They are technically demo models even with that amount on them, so you can get em even cheaper. DO YOUR RESEARCH!!!

p.s. And get someone to ring you while talking to the salesman and act as if you are talking to another salesman from another dealership. That might spark the douche into action!!!

car mats? pfft. There worth $10 to mitsu, and people get sucked in and say. OMG BUT I GOT FREE CAR MATS!

Get a full tank of fuel, get the interior lighting etc thrown in. They cost mitsu shit all.

Ofey was telling me. A Lancer only costs about 6-7 grand to make. But then its all the importing, tax etc that jacks the price up.

I got ripped but i didnt pay for the car, 23050 ES lancer with a spoiler and car mats. But i was young and eeger to get my car, so i didnt think lol. Next Lancer i get will be an evo. No question. Wait thats a good option, Buy an evo.

But on a serious note, these people are ripping you off. I must ask - manual or CVT? RF package? Sunroof? MMCS? Window tinted? Lots of other things added for free. That is the only way you can justify the 32500 they ask for this car. Its up to you - there are bargains to be bought!

Go red for sure! White is a fleet colour. Should be reserved for Commodores, Aurions and Falcons IMO.

Have a look at this cruise photo... the red really stands out well against the boring mono colours of black grey and white.
