I nicked mine yesterday parking before my trial soccer game..

It might not be worth repairing, perhaps using some touchup paint or something similar to make it less noticeable would be easier?

I know..I always run over that curve/corner. Its in the car park at the place where I work. I drive up and around this curve to the next level...and of course I can't see the median strip either side of me. You should have heard the sccrrappppee.

I tired out Kalum's How to change and service a CVT today *peace*

Image
All the right parts but where do they ALL go?

Image
Metal filament doing its job catching bad stuff...

I also found a layer of sludge in sump tray & covering magnets, which unless you do a full service like this, it would not get cleaned out... (my local dealer service center would only offer a CVT fluid change & not a full replacement of filter parts)

All parts & fluid from REPCO for $210 (i got free shipping) quickly over the Easter Break and just picked up from local store.

I was quoted $1000 from ZUPPS Mitsubishi to do it alone.
And $500-400 on top of major 90,000km service.
And $250 (CVT fluid change only) at an Russells Automatic Transmission Specialists.

Would recommend Lancer CVT owners to think of doing if have even a little mechanical knowledge to save $$ and keep your CVT healthy. *lever*
