If you want a good place to take your car to and not worry, go to Marranos Automotive in croydon park, These guys know there stuff, honest, reliable and charge a Fair price for the service they offer, much better and cheaper than MRT, and they only use PREMIUM lubricants and products on the cars, or OEM if you request...The guys there know what there doing, and will call and inform you if anything that needs replacing or should be replaced soon : wear and tear items, faulty etc...., before they even do it, They will always say OEM is $$$ or aftermarket is $$$ (if after market is available)

Whilst tampering with the odometer is illegal, did you know that Mitsubishi can just simply update it to whatever they want with the MUT III tool?
Whilst also unethical it is scary to think what actually goes on that doesn't get documented to us as the customer.
I think by far the best thing you can do if you do not want them to thrash it is to seek a custom ECU job where the car goes into a "valet mode" where the revs can only go to say 2500 RPM (or whatever you want really)
It's safe to say to bypass these systems would take a considerable amount of time (avoid plug and play\piggy back systems)
Some of these features can be bought with expensive alarm systems however the compatibility with our cars i am unsure of.
Or just put one of those hidden camera somewhere with battery backup as someone did earlier.

Thats what i really want to do...Cobb has valet mode and as you said so do a few alarms. With some alarms though valet mode just means it has remote start not engine detune.
Another idea im toying with is hiding a basic 2 stage Turbosmart boost controller...the one with a simple switch so that i can switch it to like 2 psi boost...Thoughts anyone???
