Guess the question has to be asked - does changing brake kits and rotors (and maybe coilovers etc) screw with warranty?

Wow, sounds like an awesome deal. Lucky to the person who gets them. :P

I assume as soon as you put the car on a track the warranty is void since the car is warrantied for road use. But yes, I would assume in at least some modes, maybe if you get Mits to do the work, LOLOLOLOLOLOL. If your car is brand new, keep the warranty, if it's at the point where warranty is always an argument, forget it and do it yourself

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't lancers already have adequate brakes?
Our brakes are already capable of locking the wheels and triggering the ABS even on ideal surfaces. This means that the tyres are the weak point, not the pads/callipers/rotors.

So unless you're tracking it or hooning it on the street, where brake-fade might become a factor, you would benefit a lot more from better tyres or a combination of better tyres and wider wheels.

I put my hand up for the occasional hoon around at 3am, also on Mt Ousley, brake fade is an issue, as it is through Macquarie pass

That's it guys, planning on tracking it soon, so grabbing the parts while I can, getting them in place. Already got the RA fronts lined up....

Sides, I haven't had a chance to push it yet, 110 down a suburban backstreet on the way home is schoolboy stuff..

Guys, if you are looking for RA front brakes you can also look for Outlander II, Evo IV or Legnum/Galant VR4 before facelift.

All these models are using the same brakes packages for the front. This will give you better search options.
My front brakes are from Legnum VR4 and they are the same as RA.
