Hi Scott ,
LMAO, I wish I was skinny again, actually I am 6'2" and weigh a hefty 100KG+ I Am working on get back to a thin 80KG . It will take a while though.
I am used to contorting to get in and out of cars, planes etc.
You should have seen me getting out of my 1996 Mitsu Eclipse Turbo in the USA.
It's roof line was 9" lower than our Lancers. LOL
I used the Plasti-Dip spray on rubber coating on the centre bar and upper grill surround which is coated a dark charcoal grey at the factory. The Mitsu symbol and grill itself is a separate Black plastic piece.
I have posted details in a separate thread in the Exteriors section.
WARNING TO ALL
Guys if you put on this centre lip which has the same bottom height as the air dam horns and especially if you are fitting the full width lip which lowers the clearance by over an inch and half or so from the look of the pics.....
BEWARE of TALL CURBS on Islands/ edges in parking lots.
I pulled up to one tonite and thought I had left a good distance from it only to return and find less than 3/4 inch between the top of it and the bottom of my new lip. The curb was slightly higher and would have totally wrecked it. AAARRGGGHHH I was so relieved, I only put it on yesterday.
I strongly suggest if anyone else, be it family or friends drive your baby, that you warn them about staying well back from those freakin tall curbs least they destroy your new spoiler and you are then forced to kill them.
I know I would,......... of course I will tell the police......."I did it out of love".
Better your tail is near the back of the parking space than your nose too far in,...... you have been warned.
This has been a Public Service Announcement brought to you by...................

I organised this group buy (as I do with most. I'll get Blanka to do some in future). If you're still keen, PM me.
The V-Lip quality I think is pretty good but the C-Lip ideally has to be primed and painted.
Lemme know what you want.

Dropped my centre lip at a known local panel shop. They'd never seen the material used before (a bloke with 40+ yrs of panel/paint experience).
The scratches which are on the front according to these blokes are part of the mould used. Before painting, because of the depth of teh scratches, they are going to sand then bog (yes bog) the scratches to get the surface smooth enough for painting. Primer won't fill these scratches enough.... that's how deep they are.
Anyways, fingers crossed it comes out of their shed in a couple of days in a crisp yet smooth wicked white....

Panel shop here in Melbourne wants A$150 to paint it.
I'm cheap so I DIYed it for A$50: Spray can of color matched paint = A$26 + Top Coat = A$12 + Primer = A$12 + Free Sandpaper from work.
Also I needed to grind it myself to fit my front due to the crap chrome grills on my Olympic Ed.
Will show pictures when I complete tonight.

The place I went to reckons around the same price too....
I missed out on handyman DNA, so happy to pay someone else to do it. They will also affix it to the car for me as well.
Excited to see your pictures!
I expected about $200 to paint my front lip. Haven't got a price yet cos the guy wants to see the car and the lip at the same time and he is Wollongong which isn't all that handy for me...I don't like being without my car! I said I'd actually pay for this to be done as he did the black bumper for free. Hopefully it's around $200..he may just do it for free though.
